Memoria historikoaren transmisioa euskal haur eta gazte literaturan

Abstract

Lan honen helburu nagusia da euskal Haur eta Gazte Literaturak (hemendik aurrera HGL) memoria historikoa nola landu duen ezagutzera ematea, bereziki nola irudikatu diren Euskal Herriko gatazka armatuak, hala nola, Guda Karlistak, Lehen Mundu Gerra, Espainiako Gerra Zibila, Bigarren Mundu Gerra, Frankismoa edota euskal gatazka. Hizpide dugun sistema literario horrek 70eko hamarkadaren erdialdetik aurrera ekin dio memoria historikoarekin lotutako literatur testuak argitaratzeari, bereziki 90eko hamarkadatik aurrera. Helduei zuzendutako euskal literaturan eta inguruko HGLn baino beranduago bada ere, euskal HGLn XXI. mendean izan du benetako gorakada memoria historikoaren gaiak. Hori horrela, lan honek arestian aipatutako gatazka armatuen irudikapenak euskal HGLn nola egin diren azaltzeaz batera, gaiari buruz dagoen eskaintza zabalaren berri ematea du helburu.

The primary objective of this study is to analyze the ways in which Basque Children’s and Young People’s Literature (hereafter, CYL) has engaged with historical memory, with a particular focus on the representation of armed conflicts in the Basque Country, including the Carlist Wars, World War I, the Spanish Civil War, World War II, Francoism, and the so-called Basque conflict. The literary system under examination began incorporating literary works addressing historical memory from the mid-1970s onward, experiencing significant growth from the 1990s. Although this development emerged later than in Basque literature intended for an adult readership and later than in adjacent CYL, the 21st century has witnessed a marked increase in the presence of historical memory within Basque CYL. Accordingly, this study seeks not only to examine the ways in which armed conflicts have been represented in Basque CYL, but also to provide a comprehensive overview of the extensive literary corpus dedicated to this thematic domain.
