La gestión estratégica en las empresas basada solamente en beneficios económicos está cambiando. Naciones Unidas, tanto con el pacto Mundial como con los nuevos objetivos de desarrollo sostenibles (ODS) de la Agenda 2030, ha hecho hincapié en la necesidad de ampliar el foco de interés hacia objetivos como el bienestar de los trabajadores y el cuidado hacia el medio ambiente. Para que una organización sea responsable y sostenible, su enfoque tiene que ser holístico. En este sentido, el modelo de la Triple Cuenta de Resultados pone de relevancia las tres P’s: people, planet, profit (personas, planeta y beneficios), donde el balance entre estos tres objetivos es imprescindible para poder conseguir esa gestión eficaz, eficiente y sostenible. Con este informe pretendemos enmarcar la gestión de recursos humanos dentro del paradigma de la sostenibilidad, la RSC y los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible, haciendo especial mención a la cuestión de genero y a la gestión de la edad en las organizaciones de la economía social, en especial en las cooperativas.; Strategic management in companies based solely on economic benefits is changing. The United Nations, with both the Global Compact and the New Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, has emphasized the need to broaden the focus of interest to objectives such as employee well-being and environmental care. For an organization to be responsible and sustainable, its approach must be holistic. In this sense, the Triple Bottom Line model emphasizes the three P's: people, planet and profit, where the balance between these three objectives is essential to achieve effective, efficient and sustainable management. With this report we intend to frame human resources management within the paradigm of sustainability, CSR and sustainable development objectives, with special mention to the gender issue and age management in social economy organizations, especially in cooperatives.

This chapter explores cooperative entrepreneurship incubation in the Southern Cone through the cases of Mapocho in Chile and INCUBACOOP in Uruguay. It situates these initiatives within the broader cooperative trajectories of both countries and highlights the role of incubation in advancing innovation, resilience, and social impact. The chapter first contextualizes the cooperative movements in Chile and Uruguay, outlining their institutional frameworks and current challenges. It then discusses how cooperativism intersects with social innovation, framing incubation as both a tool for business growth and a mechanism for strengthening democratic governance and community cohesion. The analysis details the methodologies and strategies of the two incubators, highlighting their adaptation of traditional incubation models to cooperative principles through phased support, mentoring, and sectoral prioritization. These cases illustrate how cooperative incubators, operating as “third generation” organizations, combine technical support with principles of participation, inter-cooperation, and collective management. The chapter concludes by identifying key lessons on ecosystem building, strategic foresight, and collaborative innovation to strengthen cooperative entrepreneurship in Latin America.
